Rock Tumbling
Polishing rough stones in a rotary tumbler through four progressive grit stages over 4-6 weeks. Coarse silicon carbide (60/90 grit) shapes the stones, medium grit (120/220) smooths, fine grit (500) refines, and aluminium oxide polish brings the final shine. Geology meets patience meets materials science—ugly gravel transforms into something you can't stop touching.
Four Weeks Before the Gravel Remembers How to Shine
Rock TumblingSilicon carbide is stardust. I'm using it to polish gravel in a rubber drum for a month.
