Verdigris Electroetched PCB Art
Creating decorative circuit board art using selective copper patination. Etch copper-clad board with resist patterns, then apply controlled verdigris through ammonia fuming or vinegar patina to colour the exposed copper green while leaving traces bright. The result is functional or decorative boards where the patina becomes the visual design element — PCB as art object rather than hidden infrastructure.
Thirty-Five Microns Between Green and Gone
Verdigris Electroetched PCB ArtThe board now displays my thumbprints in perfect copper-negative detail. This was not the pattern I intended.
