Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging)
The Japanese discipline of arranging cut flowers, branches, and grasses according to geometric line and deliberate negative space rather than mass and colour. Stems are fixed to a kenzan (pin frog) and placed at defined angles to build an asymmetric scalene triangle, where the empty space between elements is treated as a first-class part of the composition.
